Paphos
Considered to be the mythical Birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, of love and beauty, Paphos is an inclusion in the UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of world's heritage. In addition to this, Paphos is famous for the remains of the Roman governor's palace where extensive fine mosaics are a major tourist attraction.
The historical city of Paphos is now divided into two parts, the upper section up the hill which is called the Paphos City and the lower is called Kato Paphos which contains the main archaeological points of interest. This city is so small that you can even navigate on foot but it still has got lots to explore.
There is the Paphos archaeological park which houses a number of attractions like the House of Dionysos and the House of Thesus which are both ruins of roman villas famous for their mosaics. You can also visit the Paphos fort which has ruins of older prisons. Tombs of the Kings are also a place worth a look, a close one for the matter. It has tombs which are carved out of solid rock which is a great sight to look at. Go to the Odeon which is a classic Greek amphitheatre which has an archaeological park. Aphrodite Water Park is a very nice theme park where you can enjoy lazy rides, wave machines, etc.
